High-protein vegan meal plan

Vegan diets can easily reach 120 g of protein or more a day with tofu, tempeh, seitan, lentils, edamame, and soy milk. It just takes planning.

MacroPlate builds vegan meals around your protein target, so you aren't guessing whether today's food was enough.

Sample day: high-protein vegan

A real plan made by MacroPlate for a 31-year-old man, active, building muscle. Yours will be built from your own stats and preferences.

3100kcal / day

Your maintenance needs came out around 2,800 kcal from the Mifflin-St Jeor equation with an active multiplier (body-fat % wasn't provided, so Katch-McArdle wasn't used). I added a modest surplus of about 300 kcal for muscle gain. Protein is set at roughly 1.9 g/kg, which is high enough for muscle building on a vegan diet. Carbs fuel your training and fat covers the rest.

Questions

What are the best vegan protein sources?

Can I avoid soy?

Yes. Add soy as an allergy in the quiz and the plan will lean on seitan, legumes, and pea protein instead.
